Two days down on the beach felt good

Two days down on the beach felt good.

Remarkably the sun shone on our first summer shindig. A little weather window opened and we had two wonderful days at Berry House in North Cornwall (checkout www.thebighouseco.com/berry.asp). Thursday evening was beautiful and anyone active flew a kite or played volleyball, or mixed mojitos.

We had a low key dinner at the local pub, the Anchor, that turned into a rural run through for Bude’s Got Talent (the local karaoke boys were in residence). Some big numbers, a few tears and a 30 person ling-a-long to Here Comes The Sun set the tone for the evening. Back to the big house on the cliff and a seminal Rock Star performance by Michelle, Jas and Mike led to a very very late night indeed.

It’s remarkable how much fun the simple things in life can be. We spent Friday on the beach at Bude. The weather was kind, the sea was warm and the surf was mildly temperamental. Sandcastles became speedboats, an armchair and a bobsleigh, there was a 60 strong tug of war, beach tennis and a few mid afternoon siestas.

And on Friday night we gave out the inaugural Life’s a Beach awards. We promoted lovely Sal to Account Manager. The boys barbecued (naturally), we drank some more mojitos and we thanked our lucky stars for 6 months of success and freedom.
