One of our founding principles for Life was that we would celebrate doing exciting things and going to exciting places. And that we would capture those moments or life adventures in a Life kind of way.
Well after just over half a year, the Life Flag is pretty well travelled. It’s been to the top of [...]

We all know about the coffee revolution, Starbucks et al popping up on every street corner, our sudden desire to drink americanos at the drop of a hat.
So it’s good to experience a new take. And as well as that, it’s always nice to see people doing something special and original. Yesterday in Salzburg, whilst [...]
120 Years of Graffitti

It struck me today that an individual’s desire to leave their mark or signature for posterity isn’t anything new.
In the space of two days in Austria I saw two examples of graffitti, separated only by a few miles and 120 years. Yesterday, we were exploring the Lamprechtshohle just outside Lofer. It’s a natural cavern rising [...]
Summer Time

Remarkably the sun shone on our first summer shindig. A little weather window opened and we had two wonderful days at Berry House in North Cornwall (checkout www.thebighouseco.com/berry.asp). Thursday evening was beautiful and anyone active flew a kite or played volleyball, or mixed mojitos.
We had a low key dinner at the local pub, the Anchor, [...]

After a month’s hard slog, 3 dreamers and a lot of late nights, The Bakery mini ramp at The Custard Factory is finished.
Birmingham now has it’s own indoor ramp again after nearly 15 years. So we’re sending out the call to skaters from all over, come along and see what’s cooking (see what I did [...]

They are responsible for the design and build of the Life website. They’re also a very talented and nice bunch. Looks like we’ll be working with them again in the near future as partners on a number of joint projects for clients.
So thanks to Ant, Greg, Jamie and the rest of the team at Outside [...]
Innocent Village Fete 2008

Well, despite the stormy weather, today saw the second and final day of London’s largest, friendliest and altogether nicest mass get together – the Innocent Village Fete, courtesy of those Innocent smoothie folks, naturally.
There really was something for everyone – welly wanging, duck herding, dog agility, Dynamo’s Rhythm Aces’ (a 3 piece combo) seminal version [...]
Life’s a Beach

Spending the whole day on the beach. Not a care in the world. The Summer seemed to stretch out endlessly in front of you. Life was simpler then. Sunshine. A kite. A sandcastle.
Now close your eyes.
Can you hear the sea? Can you taste the salt on the breeze? Can you feel the sand between your [...]
An English Summer

Is there anything more quintessentially English than the traditional village fete? After attending our own, the BlueCoat School Summer Fete in June, winning the egg throwing competition at the Medstead Fete in Hants with my best friend James (which was equal to gold at the Olympics to our kids), the culmination of the Summer has [...]
